You are eligible if you are an MBBS doctor with permanent registration from BMDC.

You can do this by online at  any time (Click on REGISTER ACCOUNT) in the dashboard of https://ccvd.ibrahimcardiac.org.bd/

There are 5 steps of registration.

Step 1:

Your email address.

Step 2:

Your personal informations

Step 3: 

Your academic information. Here you will be asked to upload a) SSC, HSC & MBBS Certificates; b) BMDC Registration; c) A passport size photo; d) NID Card

Then you need to wait for the verification process which typically takes 7 working days.

Step 4: 

Course fee payment is either by online or bank draft and should be done within 14 days after the approval date.

 Step 5:

Completion of your admission process will be done after you receive your student identification number.

You will then be able to log in as a student of CCVD and enter into the course.

CCVD means Certificate Course on Cardiovascular Diseases.

This course is conducted by Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute under the patronization of the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh.

This course is designed for registared physicians who want to improve their skills on Cardiovascular Diseases focusing on HTN, ACS, HF.

It could be completed within a minimum duration of 4 (four) months.

Once admitted you should be able to complete the course within 3 years, otherwise, you will be a course out from the course.

CCVD means Certificate Course on Cardiovascular Diseases.

CCVD is a modular course. There are 11 modules and 3 phase in this course where each module contain different lessons.

  • Chapter 1 (Hypertension) consists of Module 1, 2 & 3.
  • Chapter 2 (ACS) consists of Module 1, 2 , 3, 4 & 5
  • Chapter 3 (Heart Failure) consists of Module 1, 2 & 3
  • During the study of chapter 2, a student has to attend 2 skill development tutorials (SDT). 1 for clinical skill and 1 for practical skill.
  • During the study of chapter 3, a student has to attend one workshop.

What is a module?

Modules are for self-study. A module resembles a chapter of a textbook

  • A module begins with an introductory lesson termed Objectives.
  • And the last lesson is called Summery which summarizes the module and gives hints to further reading. 
  • All other lesson has 2 parts a) Text part and b) Practice part.
  • You can study directly and can also download it as a PDF.
  • After going through the text, a student will practice for the assignment of study.
  • The practice part is a self-assessment process with 2 types of questions:  i) Fill in the gap(s)  ii) True/ false response.
  • The score is displayed immediately upon submission or when time is over.
  • A student can practice as many as he/she wants.

A student in Chapter 1 after getting admission in the course and in Chapter 2 by successful completion of CCA-1 (Chapter Completion Assessment) and in Chapter 3 by successful completion of CCA-2 and become eligible to seat for End Course Examination (ECE) by successful completion of CCA-3. After successful ECE, a student will get course certificate. 

SDT means Skill Development Tutorial.

  • Prerequisite: completion of CCA1 
  • Take preparation by studying of your study materials.  
  • Attend the tutorial as per schedule
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard). Get an SDT completion message.

 

  • Prerequisite: completion of PCA2 
  • Apply for a Workshop as per calendar and get a confirmation message and a link of instructions (Click on Workshop in the dashboard).
  • Attend the session
  • Submit your evaluation report to (Click on Evaluation in the dashboard). Get a Workshop completion message.

 

ECE means End Course Examination.

  • Prerequisite: completion of CCA-3  or previously unsuccessful ECE

 

CCA means Chapter Completion Assessment.

It is an online assessment/examination at the end of a chapter.

  1. Question has to answer in True/False format either in a single statement or in stems of a multiple choice question (MCQ).
  2. Marking system: for a correct response you will get + 1 and for a no response or a incorrect response you will get 0.
  3. Once a student start CCA “Countdown” for minutes will start.
  4. The end of a CCA can be done using the “Submit” button.
  5. The result will be displayed and also a message will be sent.

 

What are the eligibility criteria for appearing PCA?

  • For PCA 1: After 4 weeks from the start date of the course.
  • For PCA 2: After successful completion of SDT 1 and  PCA 2.
  • For PCA 3: After successful completion Workshop.

 

If you try you can complete it within 4 (four) months.

Once admitted you should complete the course within 3 years otherwise you will be a course out from the course.

Disqualified candidate in any CCA will sit for retake examination after 7 days of the 1st appearance if disqualified again, the candidate shall appear in the examination with next Batch under their original ID number and shall continue the courses on the basis of carryon system.

Disqualified candidate in ECE in the first attempt shall avail retake examination for only once without examination fee. However if the candidate disqualify again, he/she has to pay examination fee of taka 1000/= for every attempt.

The course must be completed in 3 years from the date of registration. After this the candidate has to readmit in the course as a new student if so desires.

  • For CCA-1: After 4 weeks from the start date of the course.
  • For CCA-2: After successful completion of SDT-1 and  CCA-1.
  • For CCA-3: After successful completion Workshop.

Postgraduates in Cardiology with a kin interest in teaching and face to face sessions of skill development will be given preference.

Preference shall also be given if you have experience as Tutor of CCVD of DLP.
