Over the past 66 years, the Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS) has built strong expertise in training healthcare professionals through various programs, including on-the-job training, local and international workshops, postgraduate courses under BIRDEM Academy, and the Distance Learning Program (DLP) offering the Certificate Course in Diabetology (CCD). With over 15,000 medical graduates already trained, BADAS now aims to extend its legacy by launching an online cardiac health care training program in collaboration with Ibrahim Cardiac Hospital & Research Institute (ICHRI). The program is designed to equip general physicians with practical knowledge and skills in managing Hypertension, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and Heart Failure, focusing on early detection, treatment initiation, follow-up, and proper referral—enhancing the standard of cardiac care across Bangladesh and beyond.
